Enjoy the truly unique experience of staying on a working certified organic farm in the historical "Black Barn" of Verdant Hollow. The mid 1800's barn was converted to a home by renowned architect Stanley Tigerman in 1973 offering up the opportunity to retreat and relax in a bucolic setting. Sign up for a goat hike or tour, take a stroll on one of our wooded hiking trails, or simply enjoy the beautiful view of our pond from the screened in gazebo.

    Black Barn is a truly magical place. Unique and quirky in all the right ways and unfolds in a way that fosters amazing energy. Looking out the huge windows into the green openness of the farm was tranquil and serene and I could have stared at the view for days.

    We were already excited to stay at Susan and Brett's place. When we got there, it exceeded our expectations.

    Susan and Brett gave us a tour of the farm, and we got to learn about their process of managing the farm, along with meeting all the animals! We even got to hold the baby goats, and it was precious.

  • A Hidden Gem

    Truly a hidden gem in Michigan! We came for a girls trip for the weekend and we were super sad to leave after 3 days. So much to enjoy at the farm and wish we had enough time to do it all, but if you're in a position to book this accommodation, do not leave without seeing those CUTE goats! Molly and Brett were absolutely wonderful hosts and it was great chatting with them about the farm.

  • Best Airbnb

    Hands down the best Airbnb experience we’ve had. They made us feel right at home. I would highly, highly recommend doing farm chores with them in the morning. The farm is wonderful (organic, animals are treated like family). As for the farmhouse. I mean, it’s literally an architectural design wonder. It’s stunning. It’s timeless. We’ll def be coming back.
